Britney walking to Hotel after the VMAs

Following her panned performance at MTV's Video Music Awards, a subdued Britney Spears return to her room at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas Sunday night with brother Bryan by her side. A source tells PEOPLE that Spears was "embarrassed" about the reaction to her performance.
